Chen Mei, female, born in July 1934, Chief Physician of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, took part in two classes of western medicine to study traditional Chinese medicine in 1959 and 1978. She systematically studied the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine and began to study traditional Chinese medicine dermatology with Zhao Bingnan in the same year. She also studied with famous old traditional Chinese doctors such as Shen Zhitang, Shi Hanzhang and Qin Bowei. She was transferred to the Department of Dermatology of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1976 and served as Attending Physician, Deputy Chief Physician and Chief Physician. She was once a member of the expert database of medical accident technical appraisal of Chinese Medical Association and Beijing Medical Association. She was also a member of the Medical Cosmetology Group of the Department of Dermatology of Chinese Medical Association. Her "Treatment of Huhuo Disease with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine" won the third prize of Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, and her "Study on Clinical Mechanism of Shilancao Decoction in Treating Acute Eczema and Dermatitis" won the second prize of Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission. She has published more than 10 papers in medical journals at home and abroad. Since 1993, she has enjoyed special subsidies from the State Council and was designated as a key inheritance doctor in Beijing in 2003.

She is good at treating common, frequently-occurring and difficult dermatological diseases in Department of Dermatology such as acne, psoriasis, dermatitis and eczema, Behcet's disease, etc. with the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine.
