The Department of anesthesiology of Beijing Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated to Capital Medical University is a member of the Anesthesiology department of Capital Medical University and the Department of integrative surgery of traditional Chinese and Western medicine of Beijing University of traditional Chinese medicine. The director of the department is Professor Ding Lingling. At present, it has formed a modern department with reasonable professional setting, perfect equipment, orderly personnel allocation, which can complete the anesthesia treatment of various conventional and difficult diseases, rescue of critical patients, and pain management.
The Department of anesthesiology was founded in 1977. With the establishment of the surgical ward, the operation anesthesia group was established. The leader of the group was Tan Jie. In 1993, the department was officially established, with Liu Xiangyun, Sun Youqian and Zhao Xinsheng as the department directors. The current director, Professor Ding Lingling, has been in charge of the anesthesiology department and operating room since the introduction of talents from the PLA General Hospital in 2017. At present, the department has developed to 38 people, including 12 in the medical series and 26 in the nursing and technical series. In the medical series, there are 4 persons with senior technical titles (1 Professor / chief physician, 3 deputy chief physician), 60% of them have doctor's or master's degree. The department undertakes a number of provincial and ministerial projects and the task of training doctoral and master's degree students. It has accomplished a lot of clinical work and achieved a series of medical and scientific research achievements. In the elderly anesthesia, the combination of Chinese and Western medicine anesthesia, the endotracheal intubation technology with amnesia analgesia and slow induction, perioperative cardiac function monitoring, brain function monitoring and intervention and other clinical characteristics of the application of technology, the department has made significant progresses.
