Tic disorder, also known as Tourette's syndrome, is a complex chronic neuropsychiatric disorder that occurs in childhood, with the clinical features of chronic, volatility, rapid twitching of multiple motor muscles, and accompanied by involuntary voice and language disorders. It usually occurs in childhood (2-12 years old), with a long course of disease and often combined with behavioral disorders. Symptoms often recur due to mood swings, psychological trauma, respiratory tract infection and allergies.

The Department of Pediatrics in our hospital has outstanding advantages of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the treatment of tic disorders. On the basis of syndrome differentiation and treatment of TCM theory, combing with acupuncture therapy and infrared radiation therapy of TCM, at the same time, carrying out the following treatments, such as children massage therapy, scraping therapy, acupoint application therapy, TCM atomization therapy, semiconductor laser irradiation therapy, Chinese material media transdermal therapy, ear acupoint pressing bean therapy etc., the tics of most children are relieved and alleviated in a short period of time through these treatments, and the tic symptoms of a small number of children have disappeared completely after hospitalization.
