Ha Yumin (1918 - 1960), whose given name was Guilin, and courtesy name Yumin, male, a native of Beijing. He was a famous educator of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and an outstanding dermatologist of TCM. His father, Ha Ruichuan, was a famous dermasurgery specialist in TCM. Influenced by his father, he was determined to be a doctor. He was admitted to Huabei Medical College founded by Shi Jinmo in the 1930s. At the same time, he began to treat patients with his father. After graduating from the college in 1937, he began to practice as a doctor.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he attended the First National Health Conference as a representative of the Chinese Medical Community. In 1950, he established Beijing Association of TCM with Zhao Shuping and other physicians, holding the post of Vice President. At the same time, he founded the Beijing Journal of TCM. And in 1951, he actively prepared for the establishment of the Beijing Advanced School of TCM, holding the post of President. Since then, he began to carry on the systematic theory training to the TCM physicians of the city. He also held Acupuncture Class for Learning Modern Medicine, TCM Research Class and TCM Practice Class. Entrusted by the Ministry of Health, Beijing College of TCM was established on the basis of this school, which has done a lot of work for the cause of TCM. In addition to compiling a large number of Chinese medicine textbooks, he also edited a number of influential Chinese medicine books, such as Sheet on Treatment of Common Diseases and Syndromes in Internal Medicine of Chinese Medicine and Outline of Treatment Based on Differentiation of Symptoms and Signs. His life was simple, and he was honest and approachable, being deeply loved by his peers.
