The Department of Psychosomatic Medicine was listed as the Expert Department by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2011. After 8 years of development, its scale has been constantly expanding, and the number of outpatient clinics of its preponderant illness has increased year by year. Depression, generalized anxiety disorder and insomnia have always been the three predominant illness for the therapy in our Department, which have formed a complete set of TCM diagnosis and treatment standards. Our featured diagnosis and treatment techniques include acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moving cupping, cupping, ear acupuncture, practicing Qigong, and characteristic management mode for typical diseases in TCM. Adhering to the ancient motto of "leechcraft is benevolence" in clinical practice and revering the service concepts of "people-oriented", "patient-centered" and "the doctor himself is also a medicine" in medical service, we not only treat patients' physical illness, but also their spiritual trauma. Each patient are diagnosed and treated with bio-psycho-social medical model, which focuses on the role of psychosocial factors in the occurrence, development and outcome of the disease, and tries to restore the harmony between body and mind of the patient.
