Established in the early 1980s, Department of Geriatrics (Health Care Department for Cadres)  has a long history of cadre health care. At present, geriatrics outpatient service, comprehensive outpatient service and health care ward for cadres are provided in our Department. It is an elegant and relatively independent medical service area, and mainly provides integrated health care and medical service including health examination, outpatient service, inpatient service and health education  for elderly patients, in-service and retired cadre at the level of department or bureau or above. Our Department now has 4 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians and 9 attending physicians. There are 30 beds in the ward, equipped with central monitor and a variety of traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment equipment.

The geriatrics outpatient service provides professional medical services for geriatric nutrition, geriatric rehabilitation, vertigo, and Parkinson's disease. Its treatment has outstanding characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine and reliable curative effect. The comprehensive outpatient service boasts a number of state-level and Beijing municipal-level veteran physicians of TCM, gradually developing its diagnosis and advantages in treating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, immune diseases, diabetes and other diseases. The comprehensive ward is characterized by the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine, and good at treating critical ill patients. The nursing team of our Department is mainly composed of nurses and supervisor nurses, and has formed professional characteristics in the nursing, rehabilitation and traditional Chinese medicine treatment of the elderly patients with chronic diseases.
