The 5th Beijing International Chinese and Western Integrative Medicine for Digestive Disease Summit Forum Held Successfully in Beijing

The "5th Beijing International Chinese and Western Integrative Medicine for Digestive Disease Summit Forum" & the "9th Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration Forum on Spleen and Stomach Diseases-Beijing Forum" and the "1st Academic Conference of National Association of North China Regional Spleen and Stomach Diseases Diagnosis and Treatment Center" jointly organized by Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine, Tianjin Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hebei Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and undertook by our hospital were held in Beijing on October 25,2019.

Zhang Shengsheng, Head of the National Key Specialist Group for Spleen and Stomach Diseases of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Director of the Department of Gastroenterology of our hospital, served as the president of the conference and presided over the opening ceremony. Pan Suyan, Director of Beijing Hospitals Authority; Deng Juan, Vice President and Secretary-general of Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine; and Xin Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee of our hospital, attended the opening ceremony and made important speeches. Professor Li Qiangou, a veteran doctor of traditional Chinese medicine was also present.

More than 20 renowned Chinese and Western medicine experts, including Professor Eduard F. Stange (Germany), Professor Hu Fulian of the Peking University First Hospital and others gave lectures on functional gastrointestinal diseases, HP, gastrointestinal precancerous lesions and tumor prevention and treatment, IBD and intestinal microecology in the conference, showing the latest clinical and scientific research progress of digestive diseases in Chinese and Western medicine. More than 400 experts and scholars, including 40 foreign guests from more than 10 countries, attended the meeting.

Themed on "Win-win cooperation and go forward hand in hand", this conference served as an open and cooperative academic exchange platform for integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine for digestive diseases. Focusing on the international frontiers of digestive disorders, plus a concentration on clinic and rejection of the distinction between the east and the west, it rallied top academic strength by inviting famous international and domestic digestive experts to have in-depth, face-to-face exchanges and collisions on current hot issues, the latest progress and the diagnosis and treatment ideas of digestive diseases, so as to make the best of the both sides, promote mutual development and improve the curative effect. The conference, therefore, is of practical significance.
