From October 20 to 25,2018, United European Gastroenterology Academic Exchange Week (UEG Week), the largest and most influential conference on digestive diseases in Europe, was held in Vienna, Austria. The conference aims at "Building a Healthy Future for Digestion", and more than 13,000 doctors, researchers and scholars from all over the world attended the conference. World-renowned gastroenterologists have gathered together to discuss the latest developments in this field from new digestive system health research to the most advanced clinical practice.

Zhang Shengsheng, the Director of Department of Gastroenterology, and Zhao Luqing, the Deputy Chief Physician of our hospital were invited by UEG to participate in this academic exchange, and conduct wall report exhibition. The abstract of the selected paper is the Basic Study on the Treatment of Functional Gastrointestinal Diseases by TCM Compound. After the conference, the abstract will be permanently included in UEG's Education, the world's largest gastrointestinal resource, and published in the UEG Journal. Two doctors of our hospital were invited to testify once again the recognition of Chinese medicine in the Western medical industry. They have made our voices heard on the international stage on behalf of the Chinese medicine people, showing the magic and elegance of Chinese medicine.

Traditional Chinese medicine is a medical science gradually formed and developed by the Chinese people of all nationalities in the course of thousands of years of development and the struggle against diseases. It is an outstanding representative of Chinese excellent culture. Traditional Chinese medicine plays a unique role in preventing and treating various diseases and improving the life quality of patients. The developing traditional Chinese medicine has also provided important assistance for the sustainable development of medical undertakings in various countries. The international community and contemporary life science pay more and more attention to it, and the traditional Chinese medicine has been recognized by more and more countries. To Carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese medicine culture in China, and give full play to the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, it is essential to promote traditional Chinese medicine to go abroad, and promote international exchanges of traditional Chinese medicine.
