The Department of Pain of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Capital Medical University was established in 2012, with 3 chief physicians, 1 deputy chief physician, 2 attending physicians and 2 resident physicians, including 1 postdoctoral and 3 postgraduate. It is the member of the Standing Committee of the Pain Specialty Committee of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, the Vice-Chairman of the Needle Knife Specialty Committee of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and the Chairman of the Needle Knife Specialty Committee of the Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine.

With hospital resources and "pain techniques", the Department of Pain highlights the features and advantages of TCM while placing equal emphasis on Chinese and western medicine.
