Through years of research and summaries, our department has formed effective treatment methods with mature, stable research ideas and distinctive feature, has a leading position in the breast cancer treatment of integrated traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine, and has a higher academic influence in the same profession. We adopted TCM syndrome differentiation and disease differentiation as the main treatment for breast cancer, and achieved satisfactory clinical results by combining with the necessary external treatment of TCM and non-drug therapy, forming a significant treatment feature of specific diseases. Breast cancer recurrence and metastasis, advanced breast cancer and breast cancer endocrine treatment-related adverse reactions are clinical treatment difficulties, our department has been committed to this aspect of research for many years. A large number of clinical studies have found that the combination of TCM and Western medicine can significantly improve the 3-year disease-free survival rate of high-risk patients with stage Ⅲ B-Ⅲ C breast cancer and reduce the recurrence and metastasis rate compared with Western medicine alone. For patients with postoperative complications of breast cancer or endocrine therapy, TCM can significantly improve postoperative limb lymphedema of affected limbs and endocrine therapy-related fatigue, bone pain, hot flashes and other related complications.
