Guan Youbo, a Chinese medicine scientist, has great attainments in internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics and surgery of Chinese medicine. He has been engaged in clinical and theoretical research on liver diseases for many years, and has comprehensively summarized the clinical experience of traditional Chinese medicine in treating liver diseases.He took the lead in combining the academic research of traditional Chinese medicine with modern computer technology , the "Guan Youbo Liver Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Procedure" was compiled, which made a bold attempt for the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. This book brings together Dr. Guan Youbo's more than 40 years of clinical experience in TCM internal medicine, including the following two parts:

I. Clinical Experience of Liver Diseases: A Total of 18 Articles. It mainly reflects Mr. Guan Youbo's experience in liver disease treatment and research in the past 20 years. For example, his understanding of jaundice pathology not only follows the acknowledged theory of yellow on skin is caused by "damp-heat struggle", , but also emphasizes stasis blocks in blood vessels by damp-heat, and further proposes that the continuous jaundice is attributed to blood blocking by noxious dampness and phlegm. In addition, he describes the syndrome differentiation and treatment of common hypochondriac pain, abdominal distension, low fever, fullness and other syndromes of liver diseases respectively, and summarizes syndromes and empirical prescriptions of various liver diseases for others' reference. Furthermore, he briefly introduces the combination of diseases and syndromes in the clinical treatment of liver diseases, the combination of Chinese and Western medicines, and the preliminary views on the appropriate prevention and treatment of liver diseases. In addition, 59 typical medical records are attached, including failed medical records, so as to draw lessons.

II. Clinical Experience of Miscellaneous Diseases: A Total of 4 Articles. Mr. Guan Youbo not only has certain research on liver diseases, but also has rich experience in the treatment of miscellaneous diseases. For the treatment of miscellaneous diseases based on syndrome differentiation, he attaches attention to the application of theories such as "qi and blood" and "phlegm". "Qi and blood leading to diseases", "phlegm causing all diseases" and the viewpoints of treatment from qi and blood and phlegm run through his whole clinical experience. For example, for the treatment of fever based on syndrome differentiation and blood syndrome differentiation, etc., emphasis is placed on starting with the treatment of qi and blood syndrome differentiation. Especially for the etiology, pathology and treatment rules of blood syndrome, he has unique opinions. In the  articles Some enlightenments on the origin of difficult and miscellaneous diseases from phlegm  and Experience Clinical Treatment of Cough and Asthma Syndrome, he elaborates phlegm's origin and pathology, definition of weird diseases and nosogenesis caused by phlegm and other related issues, and puts forward personal opinions based on his practical experience and actual cases as examples, so as to provide reference for clinicians and scientific researchers.
