Zhang Yuwen (1917 - 1986), male, Hui nationality, was born in Beijing. In 1933, Mr. Zhang studied with Mr. Zhao Bingnan, a famous surgeon of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Beijing. In 1937, after passing the examination, he obtained a license to practice medicine in Beijing and engaged in skin surgery.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he worked at Beijing Hospital of TCM as a surgeon and Deputy Chief Physician in 1956. In 1981, he was identified as priority academic experiences inheritance object among the famous old doctors of TCM in Beijing. Mr. Zhang had been engaged in the clinical treatment of surgery of TCM for decades, and accumulated rich clinical experiences. He was able to treat ulcer, psoriasis, pityriasis rosea and other diseases dialectically, achieving significant effects through the combination of internal and external treatment. He had his own unique experience and treatment for surgical skin suppurative diseases, such as furunculosis, whitlow, gangrene, carbuncle, and etc. His treatment method also has a good effect on the treatment of breast abscess, osteomyelitis, vascular disease, tetanus and other diseases. He was kind and friendly to patients, being welcomed and loved by patients.

In the clinical teaching work, he was patient and meticulous, teaching others tirelessly, and imparting his precious experience accumulated over many years to young doctors without reservation. He had written many experience summaries, teaching plans, papers, and etc., which are deeply respected and praised by the younger generation and his peers.
