International Symposium on Traditional Medicine Exploration was Held, and Wang Linpeng, the Director of Acupuncture Center of Our Hospital, Attended and Made a Speech at the Conference

From September 23 to 24,2015, the International Symposium on Traditional Medicine Exploration sponsored by the Inter-Academy Medical Panel (IAMP), and co-organized by Chinese Academy of Engineering and China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences was held in Beijing. More than 260 academicians, experts and scholars in traditional medicine from 21 countries, including China, India, Philippines, Nigeria, Indonesia, Croatia and South Africa, gathered in Beijing to exchange experiences in the development of traditional medicine. Laimeng LOOI, the President of IAMP, the Vice President Fan Daiming and academicians Liu Depei, Zhang Boli, Wu Yiling and Wang Chen from Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Schwartländer, the Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in China, attended the meeting.

IAMP is composed of medical academies, academies of sciences or medical departments of engineering academies in 78 countries. It aims to discuss global health issues from a scientific perspective. In 2014, IAMP established the "Traditional Medicine Assessment" project, and "International Symposium on Traditional Medicine Exploration", the first platform for the exchange and promotion of traditional medicine in the international medical scientific community, was established.

The purpose of the conference is to strengthen academic exchange and experience sharing in the field of traditional medicine, and to promote the sustainable and healthy development of traditional medicine worldwide. According to the different development status of traditional medicine in different countries, experts discussed and exchanged views on clinical, acupuncture, public health and pharmacology and other topics. Professor Wang Linpeng, the Director of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Center of our hospital made a keynote speech on the study of clinical efficacy of acupuncture as an invited expert.
