"2015 Beijing International Symposium on Acupuncture and Moxibustion" was Held

On May 25, the "2015 Beijing International Symposium on Acupuncture and Moxibustion" sponsored by the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Center of our hospital, Beijing Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society and Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine International Exchange & Cooperation Center was held in Beijing Landmark Convention Centre. Wang Huiling, the Deputy Director of the Science and Education Department of Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xin Bin, the Secretary of the Party Committee of our hospital, Xu Chunjun, the Vice President of our hospital and more than 100 experts and scholars attended the meeting.

Professor Wang Linpeng, the Director of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Center of our hospital and President of Beijing Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society, presided over the meeting. At the meeting, Professor Lau Lixing, Dean of the School of Chinese Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, introduced and summarized the high quality clinical design and research results of acupuncture analgesia in recent years, focusing on the development of evidence-based medicine in acupuncture analgesia; Professor Wang Kelun, the Director of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pain Research of Aalborg University in Denmark, introduced the present situation and development of experimental pain research in human body, and showed the making method of novel pain model and development of evaluation instrument; Ines Janowicz, Ph.D. of Nudo Neurology Laboratory of University of Kansas in America, introduced the application of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in the study of acupuncture treatment of stroke; Professor Wang Linpeng introduced the latest research results of He's fire needles; Professor Liu Cunzhi, the Director of the Scientific Research Department of our hospital, took the study of the relationship between acupoint combination and acupuncture effect as the theme, and made a deep analysis of the neurobiological connotation of acupuncture and moxibustion acupoint selection by combining with previous studies and his own research results. The academic atmosphere was strong and the exchange atmosphere was warm.
