On December 11,2019, Komir Mujehib, the Director General of Health Bureau of Istanbul Province of Turkey, and his six-member delegation visited our hospital, accompanied by Wang Binghua, an official of the Turkish Embassy in China.
In the morning, President Liu Qingquan introduced the medical and health service system in China, the training of professionals in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the development history of the hospital, the situation of medical teaching and research, and the special preparations in the hospital to the members of delegation, and conducted in-depth discussions on further strengthening cooperation and exchanges between the two sides. Wang Hongmei, the Secretary of the Party Branch of Education, and Zhao Yin, the Director of the Office of Continuing Education, answered the questions raised by members of the delegation on talents training and the mode of diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine in the hospital. In the afternoon, Wang Peng, the Director of the Hospital Office, led the delegation to visit the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Department of Dermatology, Department of Tuina （Massage）, Department of Ulcer Surgery, and TCM Pharmacy of Outpatient Department in our hospital, and made on-the-spot demonstration on the special treatments and preparations which interest the delegation, such as fire needles, the processing of patients prescription in the Department of Dermatology, and the dressing change of red gauze strips. The members of delegation said that they had gained a deeper understanding of hospitals in China and the development and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, hoping to combine traditional Chinese medicine with their local traditional medicine and bring benefit to their citizens.
It is learned that the Turkish Medical Delegation came to Beijing at the invitation of Beijing Municipal Health Commission for exchange and visit in medical treatment, public health, medical education and other aspects. In the following week, the delegation will also visit Beijing Children's Hospital, Dongcheng District Health Commission, Beijing Center for Diseases Prevention and Control and Yanqing Hospital of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our hospital will receive and accompany the delegation in the whole process according to the official arrangement.
With the proposing of the "Belt and Road" initiative, in order to promote the international communication of traditional Chinese medicine, our hospital has been continuously improving the foreign affairs service capacity, enriching the service content and broadening the service areas. In recent years, with the vigorous development of various undertakings of our hospital, the international exchange tasks have increased year by year. In 2014, there were only 9 visiting groups, while this year, there has been 19 visiting groups with 32 visiting members; 44 visiting groups have been declared in 2019; at the same time, the received foreign visiting groups have diversified from the medical staff delegation to the high-level delegation covering government officials and health system officials; the sources of receiving and visiting tasks are also constantly enriched, ranging from carrying out tasks assigned by higher authorities to designing and arranging the receiving works in the whole process, and carrying out in-depth medical cooperation; the number of foreign trainees has also increased year by year, with 72 foreign trainees taking short-term courses in 2015 and 225 foreign trainees taking short-term courses this year. In the future, under the guidance of the diplomatic strategy of the party and the state, the people at Kuanjie will continue to work hard to become the link and bridge of mutual learning between Chinese and Western civilizations.
