首都医科大学附属北京中医医院药剂科包括中药房、西药房、制剂室等部门，全科共计158人。其中大学本科以上学历31人，大专学历49人，中专学历59人，其他学历19人，大专以上人员占人员总数的50.6%。
    药剂科长期坚持把维护人民健康、保障人民用药安全有效放在药剂工作的首位，严格执行《药品管理法》及相关政策法规。不断完善药品质量等药剂管理工作制度，重视对药品采购、供应、质量的管理，充分发挥药事管理委员会的职能，坚持正规渠道进药，严格执行国家物价政策，加强药品检验，杜绝伪劣药品进入医院。药剂科建立了持续改进了质量管理体系，确保患者用药安全。
    中药房备有品质上乘、价格低廉的中药饮片600余种，日调剂中药饮片17000余剂。门诊代煎室拥有四十台煎药机，十台包装机；病房煎药室是北京市唯一仍保留传统煎药方法的煎药室，并为住院患者提供急煎方药。
    中西药房努力做好窗口服务，坚持有资深药师做好门诊用药咨询工作，积极参与药品使用情况及不良反应的监测工作。
    制剂室技术力量雄厚，生产设备先进，对我院名老中医的传统制剂在继承传统工艺的基础上不断创新，可为患者提供了十几种剂型二百多个品种的自制制剂。这些临床疗效显著价格低廉的制剂，充分保证了临床各科特色用药的需要。

Introduction of Medicine Department

The medicine department of Beijing Hospital of TCM contains TCM pharmacy, Western-drug pharmacy and manufacturing laboratory, etc. Within the total 158 staff, 31 possess bachelor degrees or above, 49 possess diploma degrees, 59 possess technical secondary school certificates and 19 with others. People with diploma degrees or above occupy 50.6% of total staff number.

The medicine department always consists on the prime responsibility of taking care of patient’s health and ensuring safety and effectiveness of drug consumption, strictly follows the “law of drug administration” and regarded policies. We keep modifying the drug management system such as drug-quality control, regard seriously for the management of drug purchase and supplies and quality, exert the power of Drug and Relatives Management Committee, consist on purchasing drug legally and stick to the government’s price policy, enhance the inspection of drugs and avoid the entry of fake drugs into hospital, provide great guarantee for improvement of medical quality and also the safety and effectiveness of drug consumption.

The medicine department possesses more than 600 sorts of cut crude drugs, which are high-quality with economic price. We have the ability to provide 17,000 sets of herb medicine every day, which greatly ensures the requirement of both clinic and scientific research. To satisfy the decocting requirement from patients, we bought 40 decocting machine and 10 packaging machine. Moreover, the decocting room of ward is the only one that keeps the traditional decocting method. In that case, we have the ability to service better and make it more convenience to our patients, and also, to provide packaged medicine to prevent from seasonal epidemic disease.

We make great efforts to provide good services for patients, always give medication advice during distribution, provide experienced pharmacist as clinical consultant, and actively monitor the effect of drug consumption and untoward effect. The western-drug pharmacy continuously improved the system of quality controlling management, modified the measures for emergency.

Based on traditional techniques, our manufacturing laboratory which has great technical support and advanced equipments, modified many prescriptions from our famous TCM doctors. In that case, more than 200 sorts of medicine (include over 10 catalogs) were invented, these medicines are more effective in clinic treatment and cheaper. This not only enables us to meet all kinds of clinic requirement, but also shows the catachrestic of our high-grade medication. Furthermore, the manufacturing laboratory also takes the responsibility of scientific research.

“To enhance service consciousness and improve service quality” is one of our hospital’s requirements for contributing to the Olympic Games. This directly related with hospital’s status and capital’s status.

There are 147 persons who are high, intermediate and primary professional technician in the medicine department, 41 of them are “pharmacist in-charge” or above, which occupies 27.9%. They make great efforts to provide good service and monitor the usage of important medicines; follow the tenet of “everything based on patient’s requirement”. For the purpose of quality, safety and management, we manage the human resource to exert their ability in techniques, supervision, indication of information, effectiveness of management and service, etc. These actions enable us to provide service about safety of clinic drug consumption.
